This is my first entry to our new family blog. When we adopted our first daughter I blogged about the journey. Her blog is www.journeytocorinne.com As we are finishing up the paperwork for our second adoption I decided to go ahead and start a blog to document the journey. I also started a blog to serve as a venue to sell childrens clothing that I sew. We are still recovering from the expenses of our first adoption along with medical expenses we have incurred. I have followed a few blogs of other adoptive moms who sew and sell their creations. I love to sew and create and decided that this is a way I can contribute to our adoption fund. In my next entry I will tell a little bit about my sewing and things I am working on.
I am a mom and homeschooler to 3 wonderful children. We have 2 biological boys and one daugher we adopted from China in 2007. We are now finishing our paperwork to adopt our second special needs daughter from China. This blog has 2 purposes - one to write about the journey and the second is to sell childrens clothing I sew to help pay for our adoption expenses
In April of 2007 we came home from China with our 3rd child. Corinne is a special needs child. She was born with a congential heart defect and has various medical needs. Corinne's adoptions has taught us so much about Jesus love for us and his love for the fatherless and ones with special needs. Adoption is one of the most transformative things I have ever experienced. After being home for a year we knew we wanted to return to China to adopt another special needs child.
We hope to have the rest of our papework finished by April and then we can submit it to china. It will probably be an 18m-2 year process. Thank you for your prayers and support of our family
